Introducing Job Boosts: Promote your in-demand jobs on Messly

Our powerful new feature allows you to highlight in-demand, hard to fill and easy-to-place job roles to doctors on Messly.

We’re excited to launch a new feature on Messly called Job Boost. This powerful tool is designed to give recruiters more visibility for their most in-demand jobs by promoting them to the top of doctors' in-app job recommendations. Here’s a breakdown of how it works, why it’s valuable, and how you can start boosting your jobs to increase engagement with top locum talent.

Why We’ve Introduced Job Boost

With Job Boost, we’re giving recruiters a way to stand out on Messly by highlighting their high-priority locum roles. These might be roles that are currently in-demand, hard to fill or where you know you can easily place a suitable candidate. By promoting these roles directly to doctors, we’re making it easier for doctors to discover the most active, high-paying, and flexible locum jobs available. Job Boost is designed to:

  • Increase Job Visibility: Boosted jobs are displayed at the top of the Discover page for doctors, making it easy for them to find and apply to these roles.

  • Highlight In-Demand Roles: Recruiters can use this feature to showcase roles that are high-priority, well-paid, flexible, or particularly unique.

  • Drive Faster Responses: Doctors can instantly see which jobs are actively available and of interest, improving response rates and application volume for recruiters.


How to Use Job Boost:


Using Job Boost is simple and effective. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Activate the Job Boost: On your Jobs page, you’ll now see a Boost button next to each job listing. Click Boost this job to get more reach and select the reasons why you’re boosting this job, such as High Pay, High Flexibility, High Certainty, or Unique Role.

  2. Add a Brief Description: After selecting your reason, you can add a short description to provide more context. For example, “Flexible shifts available for SHOs with top rates.” This additional information will be shown to the doctor.

  3. Boost Duration: Once you click Boost, the job will be promoted for seven days. During this period, the job will stay at the top of doctors’ Discover pages and will display a lightning bolt icon to signal its “Featured” status. This lets doctors know it’s a recently boosted, high-priority job.

  4. Boost Limits: Each recruiter can boost up to five jobs at a time. Once the seven-day boost period ends, the job’s featured status will automatically expire, allowing you to boost a different role if you wish.


What Doctors See:


When doctors log into Messly, they’ll see your boosted job highlighted at the top with a lightning bolt icon and the label Featured Job. This icon signals that the job is both actively available and in high demand. We highlight that the featured job are recent postings within the past seven days and recruiters are eager to fill them. Doctors can then apply as usual, but with the added confidence that these jobs are current and popular.

To maximise visibility even further, we’ll feature boosted jobs in the weekly email digests we send to doctors, helping them to discover these high-priority roles both in the app and directly in their inbox.

How to Get Started with Job Boost

Initially, we’ll be rolling out Job Boost to a select group of recruiters to gather feedback and fine-tune the experience. If you’d like to be among the first to use this feature, reach out, and we’ll enable it for your account.
