The verification panel sits top-right of every profile. We run:
NPI lookup — confirms a valid NPI. Removes anyone not registered or licensed to practice in the US.
FSMB lookup (Federation of State Medical Boards) — pulls their board certifications and state licenses, so you can see which states they're licensed in.
OIG/SAM exclusion check — confirms they're not excluded from federal healthcare programs. This needs the physician's date of birth; if they haven't completed that step there's no check mark, which means the check wasn't run, not that they failed.
IMLC status — whether they hold the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
Self-declared: DEA registration and malpractice history. The physician tells us; we don't independently verify these, so they show as "self-verified" with no check mark.
Anyone who fails the NPI, FSMB or exclusion check, or discloses a malpractice issue, is never shown to recruiters.
