What to do if your GMC number is being rejected

Our system automatically checks your GMC number against the GMC database when you register with Messly.

Occasionally our system will not recognise or incorrectly reject your GMC number. This is more likely to happen if:

  • You have recently registered with the GMC from overseas

  • You GMC registration status has recently changed

  • You are not registered with the

We also have strict entry requirements for doctors, as recruiters only Messly can only find work doctors who have a minimum level of NHS experience.

To register with Messly you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience

  • You are fully registered with the General Medical Council with a license to practice

  • Recent experience of working within the NHS on a paid contract (not unpaid clinical attachments)
