Troubleshooting Messly Email Alerts and Push Notifications for Recruiters

As a recruiter using Messly, receiving email alerts and push notifications is crucial to stay updated with the latest candidates. If you are experiencing issues with not receiving these notifications, this troubleshooting guide will help you resolve the problem.


1. Check Your Alerts Have Been Enabled

To ensure that email alerts and push notifications are enabled, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Messly account.

  2. Go to the Settings page.

  3. Click on the Notifications tab.

  4. Ensure that the toggles for 'Enable push notifications', 'Daily Summary Emails' and 'Specific Alerts' are checked.


2. Check Your Spam Folder

Occasionally, email alerts may end up in your spam folder. To check for Messly emails in your spam folder:

  1. Open your email client or webmail.

  2. Navigate to the Junk Mail or Spam folder.

  3. Search for any emails from Messly.

  4. If found, mark them as 'Not Spam' or 'Not Junk.'

3. Whitelist Messly's Email Address

Dear [IT Department],

I am currently using the Messly platform for recruiting purposes and have not been receiving important email alerts. I believe that these emails may be blocked by our company's spam filters.

Please whitelist the following email address to ensure that I receive all relevant email alerts from Messly: hello@messly.co.uk, talent@messly.co.uk, support@messly.co.uk

5. Re-register Your Device for Push Notifications

If you are not receiving push notifications on your mobile device, you may need to re-register the device within the Messly app. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Messly app on your mobile device.

  2. Go to the Settings menu.

  4. Click 'Remove' to remove any existing devices.

  5. Click 'Register Current Device' to register your mobile device for push notifications.
