Support for junior doctors is lacking, making training harder than it should be. To top it off, the doctors′ mess is slowly dying. This has an impact on the morale and happiness of every junior doctor. We believe that there′s a better way for doctors.
Messly is an exciting movement that′s bringing together our profession, helping better support doctors do their jobs and ultimately make it more fulfilling and rewarding to be a junior doctor.
We are working hard to bring back the best bits of a vibrant and active mess to every hospital - and we need your help.
Who do we need?
We’re looking for smart, innovative and energetic foundation trainees to join our inaugural champion programme. We want you to be part of creating a new home for UK junior doctors to share resources, connect with each other and get more of their training.
Here’s how we think you’ll benefit from the programme:
Take an active role in supporting the welfare and training of junior doctors. Make your voice heard in your hospital and a credible leadership role for specialty applications.
Work with and create innovative digital tools and services to implement meaningful changes in your hospital.
Contribute to building a national mess network bringing our profession closer and providing the support for you and your colleagues.
We’ll ask you to:
Bringing together and updating resources from your hospital to build a freely accessible database of valuable training resources for the NHS.
We’ll arm you with tools to provide guidance to junior doctors in your hospital on training, careers and mental health.
Inspire junior doctors to connect with each other and make their voices heard through reviews and discussions.
Regularly meet and learn from programme ambassadors. Work closely with our team at Messly HQ to shape programme design and Messly’s tools and services.
We estimate that you’ll need to commit between 4-5 hours per week on the programme, although there is always scope to do more if you’d like!
