Here at Messly, we are creating the best way for recruiters to connect with locum doctor candidates, and the best place for these doctors to find locum work.

We want Messly to be a high-trust environment for all parties. Therefore, we have created a Code of Conduct for recruiters, which sets out the standards which we expect from you whilst you are using Messly.

We collect feedback from doctors throughout their experience of using Messly, and our team will follow up with you should any issues be raised.

You can read the Code of Conduct for doctors here.

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1) Respecting the Doctor's Wishlist

The doctors on Messly have taken the time to create their profiles, including a detailed wishlist of their work preferences.

We expect you to only offer roles which fall within the criteria they have specified. This includes, for example, not sending jobs that lie outside of the doctorโ€™s travel distance, below their suggested hourly rate or in a speciality they do not wish to work.

If you wish to offer a doctor a role which you think would interest them, but lies outside of their criteria, it is best practice to explain this in your message to doctor and explain why you think it may be relevant (such as limited work at their preferred rate).

๐Ÿ‘‰ 2) Real Jobs and Rates

We expect every job posting on Messly to be accurate and not misleading.

This includes:

  • Job postings having accurate and achievable hourly rates and realistic rotas

  • Removing of any job which is no longer accurate or available, so that it is not displayed to any new candidates.

๐Ÿ‘‰ 3) Personalised Messages

As recruiters, you will always get the best response on Messly when sending personalised and thoughtful messages to doctors, reflecting the information on their wishlist.

We want to avoid the use of short, thought-less 'spam' messages which are common on other recruitment platforms.

To help you achieve this, we have created tools allowing you to create templates which can be adapted to each doctor.

๐Ÿ‘‰ 4) Closing Conversations

If a conversation fails to progress, we expect you to close off the conversation so that the doctor is available to be messaged by other recruiterโ€™s at Messly

๐Ÿ‘‰ 5) Missing Calls

We help schedule your calls to avoid the annoying back and forth of finding availability. If you or a doctor schedules a call, it will drop into your diary.

We expect you to attend the call, and if you need to cancel or rearrange the call, then let the doctor know as soon as possible or ask us to help.

๐Ÿ‘‰ 6) Updating your Pipeline

As your time using Messly progresses, you will grow a large pipeline of doctors in progress. We ask that you update the statuses of these conversations on a regular basis. This helps us maintain oversight over the progress of candidates and helps us to step in and support on both sides.
