Here's a list of common questions on messaging and posting jobs on Messly. For a full walkthrough on adding jobs please read this article.
Posting Jobs
Why am I being blocked from posting a job?
To avoid duplicates, we don’t let you post a job if you’ve already posted the same job (which matches the Hospital, Grade and Specialty) on Messly in the last 7 days.
What happens if two agencies post the same job with different start dates or rates?
Both agencies can post that job on Messly, but we will only show to doctors the one which was posted to Messly first.
What stops an agency from posting a fake rate?
To avoid errors, we ask recruiters to confirm rates that are above the normal rates, including those that are above Pan-London ones.
Our team also do routine checks on jobs if there is a discrepancy between rates posted at a hospital, to ensure that any inflated rates are flagged.
All recruiters are required to adhere to our Code of Conduct when registering with Messly, and any repeated breaches will results in recruiters being banned.
If you hear of another recruiter posting a job with an inflated rate, please let us know and we will investigate.
Messaging Doctors
Can I message a doctor once another recruiter from my agency has?
We only allow one recruiter from an organisation to be in contact with a doctor at any one time. You cannot contact a doctor who has been messaged or is in conversation with another recruiter at your organisation.
You can only message a doctor if the conversation with your colleague is closed. This happens automatically if the doctor hasn't responded within 7 days.
Why can’t I add one of my jobs to my message?
We don’t let you add a job to a message if:
The doctor has stated on their profile that they are registered with that hospital's bank
Another recruiter has offered the doctor a job at the same hospital within the last 30 days
The job doesn’t match the doctor’s grade, specialty and minimum hourly rate.
What happens if a doctor shows an interest in a colleague's job after I've messaged them?
We only allow a doctor to be in active conversation with one recruiter per organisation at any one time. So if you are in an active conversation with a doctor, the job will be added to your conversation and you will be notified that the doctor has shown an interest in a colleague's job.
If you are not in an active conversation with a doctor (i.e. the conversation has closed) - your colleague will be notified of the doctor's interest in their job and they will be allowed to contact them.
Why isn't my job being recommended to a doctor?
Your job won't be recommended to a doctor if:
The doctor has previously worked at the job's hospital
Another recruiter has offered the doctor a job at that hospital within the last 30 days
The job doesn’t match the doctor’s grade, specialty and minimum hourly rate.
